Nothing to see here, just a small adjustment.
Really, it’s just a quick alteration.
While I still like the Oliver S Douglas styling of my name, it seemed increasingly inauthentic, and isn’t really a representation of how I address myself at all. If anything, I’m more likely to style myself O.S. Douglas in real life than any other way.
Also yes, I know I’ve not posted anything in a while, but I am eager to change that, and these adjustments also increase the potential scope of this blog, away from just being about ‘pop culture’ – a term I have grown to loathe for whatever reason, towards a greater sense of freedom and diversity.
I am actually working on a short story now. The first time ever my creative writing has reached anything you could regard as ‘substantial’ – it’s nice to see the word count go up, and I hope to be able to do something with it in the future. I’ll try for some magazines, maybe, but if that fails it’ll probably go up here.
So from now on, this is oliverdouglaswriter.co.uk – though I still own that oliversdouglas.com domain, so don’t even think about taking it. It’ll still direct you to this site just as before!
