A Myriad of Games

Currently there are so many great releases it’s hard to pick one to stick with. Over the past few months I’ve finished Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect Andromeda, and I’m some sixty plus hours in to Persona 5.

Horizon was a really excellent title, deserving of every good review it got. Ultimately, it’s a strong game of the year contender, and I’m certain it’ll win plenty of them.

Andromeda was disappointing, and in a review it would be throughly torn apart, but much in the way we all like passable blockbuster movies or bland but catchy music, I enjoyed the many hours I spent as Ryder.

Persona 5, however, is my stand out title of the year so far. It’s such a comprehensive experience that it is hard to see it as anything except a masterpiece. Atlas have put JRPGs back on the map, and it couldn’t be more exciting! If you want to read more about Persona 5, you can check out my comparison of it with western games here

As I’m busy with exams right now, I’ve not had much time to actually play, so when things are a bit quieter, this should be a bit more interesting.

Thanks for reading!
